Days before the next Take-Two earnings call, a former Rockstar Dev has claimed that GTA 6 is still at risk of being delayed yet again.

Of course, this isn't what fans will want to hear. It has been delayed not once but twice already, and it's THE most anticipated game of the year. However, there may be a silver lining, at least for me.

If GTA 6 is delayed, it might prompt Nintendo to solidify a release date for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake.

Another GTA 6 Delay Might Score Us an Ocarina of Time Remake Release Date

Let me set something straight: I want to explore Leonida and Vice City just as much as everyone else. But the constant wait for GTA 6 is getting exhausting - so much so that the hype has almost fully died for me. I'm tired of analyzing the same trailer screenshots time and time again.

Now we're hearing from a former Rockstar dev that the game could be delayed for a third time. At this point, all I want is to be able to play a game without any of the drama, and I've now shifted my sights to something else: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake.

Revisiting Hyrule would be the best way to ease my yearning for GTA 6. I can imagine how Ocarina of Time's gameplay will offer a warm, structured gaming experience. It's a game of pure exploration and problem-solving that isn't overwhelmed by a massive map.

While the remake hasn't received a release date yet, it hasn't stopped people from theorizing when the game could launch. Some believe that it could drop on November 20 to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the original Ocarina of Time game. This would put it in direct competition with GTA 6 - if it still releases then, that is.

If Rockstar sticks with their November 19, 2026 release date, then it's likely Nintendo will release Ocarina of Time either a few weeks before GTA 6 or wait until December. However, if Rockstar Games decides to delay, Nintendo shouldn't hesitate for a second. They should secure that anniversary date and let us spend winter lost in Hyrule.

It may seem like a long shot, but should Rockstar need some extra time to polish GTA 6, then I really hope Nintendo takes this window of opportunity and gives us Ocarina of Time to fill the void. I certainly wouldn't be complaining, that's for sure!
