Now, you might think you can do everything, like pick all the flowers or close every trash can lid. You'd be wrong. The game has a small heart icon that fills up as you play, which represents your personality being built. Once that heart is 100% full, the game ends. This means you have to be mindful of not just what you do, but what you don't do.
Honestly, when I got the game, I wasn't sure what to expect. I've completed plenty of personality quizzes, from the ones people know to the more obscure that give me a color palette that represents me. Some of them are accurate, while others aren't. I was honestly skeptical about how well this game would measure who I am.

But as I played, I found myself not caring. I enjoyed playing as the android and travelling to places that are tied to their memories of the Doctor. You are given free rein to do whatever you want - it actually feels really cozy. I remember looking at every poster, taking my time sitting on a bench, and playing instruments. I loved going to the very edge of the map to make sure I'd seen everything and read every piece of lore.
The game measures all of that - it analyzes how many times you checked the map, if you bought an item from an NPC, and if you chose to walk a certain area or not. The fact that literally everything gets taken into account is interesting and leads me to believe this might be the most accurate personality game out there. The best part? You don't have to think too hard about your answers. You just need to play in a way that feels natural to you.

When I played, my primary archetype was The Artisan. My additional traits were the Solo Player and the Philosopher. All of these made sense, and I resonated with my results a lot. If you do a second run, more data traits are revealed, while your third runthrough unlocks the game's finale. I haven't played it more than once, mainly because I want to ensure some time has passed so I learn more new things about myself.
There's more I could say about the game, like the adorable pixel art or the mini-games that are both fun and imperative to finding out your personality.
Ultimately, if you want to learn more about yourself, then play Refind Self at least once. You might actually find a piece of you that hasn't been discovered yet.
