Over the past few weeks, major video game giants have announced their shift to purely digital games.

Soon after, reports started circulating that Xbox's Project Helix will launch without a disc drive.

Halo Studios released a blog post answering some frequently asked questions from players. The first question they answered is one many have been dying to know the answer to: "If I buy Halo: Campaign Evolved at a retail store, will there be a disc in the box?”

They confirmed that, yes, buying a physical version of the game will score you with both the case and the disc. They added that this was done so that "you have tangible items to add to your collection."

So, everyone can breathe easy. Not every studio is taking the GTA 6 route of releasing games with a digital code in a box - yet.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is scheduled to release on July 28, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
