The earnings call touched on everything from revenue to NBA 2K - but what everyone wanted to hear about was GTA 6. Lucky for fans, they spoke about many things related to the anticipated title, including initial pre-order numbers.

Take-Two stated, "With Rockstar Games’ recent announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look coming on August 27th, we believe that consumers’ passion and anticipation for the next evolution of this iconic series will grow further leading up to the title’s November 19th release."

This directly shoots down previous rumors that GTA 6 will be delayed, which started when a former Rockstar dev claimed that the game could be delayed for another six months.

GTA 6 Pre-Orders Reached Astonishing Levels

Besides the confirmation that GTA 6 will still release in November, Take-Two touched on the game's "exceptional start to pre-orders."

According to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, the levels of pre-orders were "unprecedented and astonishing." He stated, "They are so unprecedented that we just don’t know how it’ll translate into sales, which is a question I answered earlier. We genuinely don’t, and we just don’t believe in claiming victory before it occurs."

They notably didn't put a number on the GTA 6 pre-orders of revenue generated. However, with the hype surrounding the game, it's no surprise the pre-order period saw massive success. Take-Two reached $1.39 billion in sales across all of its titles between April 1 and June 30, and we assume GTA 6 pre-orders were a big part of it.
