- Quick Answer: Unverified CyberLeek claims suggest Grand Theft Auto VI may feature a real-money creator economy, though Rockstar Games has not confirmed these rumors.
On August 19, an entity called CyberLeek took X by storm by revealing massive GTA 6 leaks.
The user has shared multiple clips of the game from an older build. And while Rockstar has neither confirmed nor denied the leaks, they have filed DMCA takedown claims, which is a good indication that they are real.
Besides clips, CyberLeek has given insight into the economy of GTA 6 - and how it might affect players too.
Leaks Claim You Can Make Real Money From GTA 6
Through a Discord and Telegram post, CyberLeek claimed that there is currency in GTA 6 that can supposedly be traded for real-life money, similar to Robux.

They didn't give any information regarding how this will work. However, this has been hinted at before. Back in February, reports stated that Rockstar is planning to give creators the ability to modify the game's assets and environment, allowing them to create and sell their own content.
Rockstar previously acquired CFX.RE, the creators of GTA 5’s top RP mods. While they didn't explicitly state that it was done to create a marketplace for GTA 6, it was likely done to capitalize on player-driven experiences and create a platform where players can build and profit from their creations.
Currently, Rockstar has yet to confirm (nor deny) this claim. However, it could be true given that CyberLeek's gameplay footage seems very much like the real thing. The leaker also promised to reveal more information about this soon, so more details could be on the way.
GTA 6 is currently scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
