Miliastra, or Thousand Stars, is a leaked brand-new "experience" within Genshin Impact that is separate but launched within the game. It is a user-generated content (UGC) mode that has a blend of Roblox Studio, Infinity Nikki, and other world-builders.
HoYoverse hasn't been shy of adding silly minigames on the sides. But Miliastra looks to be the developer's most full-fledged attempt yet, deep enough that it could be an independent game of its own.
All that said, here is everything leaked about Miliastra, Genshin Impact's UGC mode.
Everything About Miliastra, Genshin Impact's Leaked UGC Mode
Miliastra, previously called Thousand Stars, is a leaked "mode" in Genshin Impact that'll allow you to create your own character and world. It is allegedly scheduled for version 6.0, which should go live on September 9, 2025.
It is not a simple "mode" in the traditional sense, as it is completely independent of the base game. It has different menu designs, battle passes, gacha banners, currency, etc. Per leaks, you have to boot up Genshin Impact and then select between this mode and the regular game.
As with any world builders, you can create your own world or join a friend's world in Miliastra. You'll first enter a lobby, likely working as your hub of sorts. A public lobby can have up to 20 players while a private one can have up to 12. Outside of the lobby, you can have a party of 8 players.
The world creator seems fairly deep and will feature node-based interface coding to give you freedom to craft things the way you want. It is a lot more detailed than Divine Ingenuity or Teapot, but we do not yet know its full capabilities. You can create levels, face enemies, and do pretty much all the things you could do in the base game.
For characters, we'll have a male and female pick. Customization here seems to be similar to Infinity Nikki. Items such as clothes can be acquired through the gacha banner, with male and female having their respective banners. Per leaker Uncle Mero, banners will have "bundles" of these items.
One bundle example for the beta included Multi Upper Cloth, Orange Lower Cloth, Brown Shoe, Orange Headwear, and Purple Leglet. So far, all known customization options for characters are Upper Cloth, Lower Cloth, Shoes, Headwear, Bracelet, Leglet, Earrings, Eyewear, Mask, Necklace, Backpiece, Waist Size, Tail, Hairstyle, Eyebrows, Eye Socket, Pupil, Eye Shadow, Lipstick, General Facial Makeup, and Skin Tone.
You can customize both male and female character looks. Skin tones, hairstyles, eyebrows, and eye sockets have several variations you can choose from.
All in all, it is a level editor or game creator with fairly deep building capabilities. While it does look full-fledged, Miliastra is said to be embedded within Genshin Impact and won't take much additional storage.
Remember, all the information we have shared is based on the leaks from the ongoing closed beta. Finer details here and there can change, especially when the release is more than a month away.
With it leaked to be available for version 6.0, it shouldn't be long before we get official news. The livestream for the update should be on August 29, 2025. Of course, we'll keep you updated on any new information about the content.
