Marvel Rivals is still gaining momentum, with Season 2 set to launch in just a few days, bringing a new playable hero and a new map centered around Krakoa and the Hellfire Gala. After being leaked, Marvel Rivals has just unveiled the game’s next playable hero: the Vanguard, Emma Frost.
Emma Frost will be the latest addition to the Marvel Rivals roster, bringing her formidable telepathic abilities to the battlefield. While details about her kit remain unknown, it’s likely that she’ll be able to switch seamlessly between her Diamond Form and Human Form. Additionally, she may have an ultimate ability that disables enemy powers through psychic blocks—similar to Sombra from Overwatch.
Another character revealed in the leaks is Ultron, the sentient robot with a deep hatred for the Avengers. He will be the next playable character and previous leaks confirm that he belongs to the Strategist class. His abilities include deploying sentry drones that heal allies and using powerful Ultron Beams to deal damage.
As for Blade, there’s no confirmation yet on whether he’ll be playable, but leaks suggest he’ll be joining the roster—potentially before or after Emma Frost’s arrival.
Season 2 isn’t just introducing Emma Frost and Ultron; it will also feature a brand-new map set in Krakoa, Marvel’s living island and a sanctuary for mutants. Leaks from well-known X user X0X_Leaks suggest that both Krakoa and Arrako will be playable maps, featuring portals that allow players to evade sightlines and traverse locations in seconds.
Rumors also point to a major Marvel Rivals announcement tomorrow, possibly unveiling significant Season 2 details as well as new skins that were unveiled during the trailer. Additionally, streamers may get early access to Emma Frost and the Krakoa map over the weekend before the official Season 2 launch on April 11.
