Pokemon Pokopia promised us, and actually delivered, a vast and varied volume of character customization with multiple hair, clothing, and colorization options for everyone to transform their Dittos to. This provided an extra layer of fun for players looking to run into their Pokemon Pokopia worlds looking like their favorite characters from the games.

All Pokemon Character References In Pokopia
As mentioned above, there's plenty to look back on here but some of the most prominent ones are the Kanto Gym Leaders, major side characters in mainline Pokemon titles, or even minor NPCs! Either way, there's something to enjoy here or maybe bring a bit of nostalgia.

Mainline Pokemon Games
Of course, as the main steerers of some of the most famous Pokemon titles, the protagonists from games are referenced in Pokopia. What better way to feel like a hero (or a villain), than to wear these costumes, right?
Red
Our most famous silent protagonist and Pokemon Champion from Generation I. Not adding this guy in Pokopia would be considered a crime.
Blue
Red's extra-confident and snarky rival who likes to say "Smell ya later!"
Leaf
FireRed and LeafGreen's Female Counterpart of Red. Cute but also silent.
Ethan
Generation II's second coming of a silent protagonist.
Silver
The more annoying but more complex rival from Generation II.
Kris
The shining female protagonist of Pokemon Crystal.
Lyra
The adorable and bubbly female protagonist of Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
Professor Oak
The OG "pick one from the three and complete the Pokedex for me!"
Major Side Characters From Pokemon Titles
Other references inserted in Pokemon Pokopia's wardrobe are major side characters in Pokemon games that we often brush shoulders with, and add more flavor to our journey, now adding more spice for our Pokopia adventure.
Gladion
The Poke-edgelord with mommy issues. But you've got to admit, he does know how to look cool.
Bede
Pink, pink, and more pink! That's Bede for you, looks fabulous but can be quite harsh. Good thing, Ditto, doesn't speak much.
Gym Leaders & Totem Captain
Another major element that makes Pokemon so famous and has served as an effective progression technique, we also have customization references from Gym Leaders and an Alolan Totem Captain. It also helps that these entries have a dominating presence in the anime.
Brock
Pokemon's first-ever Gym Leader and one of Ash's best friends in the anime. This guy might be far from retiring from appearances.
Misty
This one, on the other fin, er, hand, is Pokemon's second Gym Leader and also one of the most prominent main characters from the anime. Like Brock, it is unsurprising to see her referenced.
Lt. Surge
Now, for a more shocking reference, we have Lt. Surge, the hardy, Electric-type Gym Leader of Kanto. A commanding officer of war in the past, now an electrifying look in Pokopia.
Sabrina
We also have the costume for Generation I's psychic mistress and Saffron Gym Leader. One doesn't need a third eye to see that this fashion is rad!
Koga
Do you like ninjas? Do you like Poison-types? Do you like Gym Leaders? Koga is all of those, and Ditto would be honored to wear the garments of Fuschia's Toxic Assassin.
Acerola
Now, to represent the lovely islands of Alola, we also have a customization option for Acerola. She's a Totem Captain who's only as adorable as Mimikyu.
Minor NPCs
Even NPCs got some love and recognition in Pokemon Pokopia. At least some of them.
Pokemon Center Lady
This lady is the NPC hero we don't want to see often, but it's the one we need. Looking like one in Pokopia might bring a soothing presence to other Pokemon though.
Sightseer
To be fair, as Ditto, we might also just be like a foreigner or traveller as Sightseer herself, so this makes total sense!
Bird Keeper
This selection is actually very niche, but the blue jumper is still a winner in our eyes.
Black Belt
I mean, who doesn't want to look like a Karate master?
Roughneck
Another piece to look tough? Yes please? No motorcycle included, though?
Sailor
Pokopia, being plentiful in bodies of water we can travel to, looking like a Sailor, at least at specific moments, will be perfect.
Super Nerd
This may not look like the coolest, but some people see this as a badge of honor. Super Nerd for Pokemon knowledge? I like that!
Team Rocket Grunt
In Pokopia, Team Rocket seems to have a more positive impact and actions towards the community, so don't feel guilty if you find yourself liking this costume.
