Just when you thought we were running out of Elden Ring content, FromSoftware drops a bombshell: the Tarnished Edition of Elden Ring, built specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2, will include two new classes, four new pieces of armor, and brand-new weapons and skills.
This information was revealed during the FROMSOFTWARE GAMES EVENT Spring 2025, held in Tokyo on May 6. For more information about the event, check it out here.
According to the event details, the two new classes, “Knight of Ides” and “Heavy Knight”, will be added to the Tarnished Edition, which is set to release later this year for the Nintendo Switch 2.
But that’s not all. In addition to the two new classes, players will also be able to customize Torrent with three new looks. And for those craving more loot, the newly added arsenal gives plenty of reason to return to the Lands Between.
Those picking up Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for the Switch 2 will also get access to The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, the massive expansion focused on the Land of Shadow, a realm Marika shunned and left to decay.
The Tarnished Edition bundles together Shadow of the Erdtree and the exclusive Tarnished Pack, which includes all the new content mentioned above.
While we still don’t know the attributes or abilities of the new classes, it’s fair to say that picking up Elden Ring for the second (or even third) time might just be worth it for longtime fans. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on whether this content will make its way to other platforms.
