The official social media account of Delta Force has revealed that some "big news" is on the way, leading many to believe it's a release date for consoles.

The iconic series returned as a definitive free-to-play modern team-based tactical shooter and has been available on PC for several months. Initially starting with closed playtests, Delta Force is now running a global open beta, with the Black Hawk Down campaign also dropping for PC players in February.

However, the console version is yet to go live, with game director Shadow Guo recently announcing that it had been delayed out of its Q1 2025 release window.

"The console version is shaping up nicely, but we feel that the overall user experience, especially player input, including controller balance and interaction compatibility, hasn't yet met our standards," Guo said.

While the focus for Guo and his team at TiMi Studio Group is on fine-tuning the console build, he did add that a console roadmap would be provided "in the future."

With so much anticipation surrounding the console version, it's easy to assume that this latest tease from Delta Force could be related to an official release date or some sort of roadmap as Guo previously touched on.

At the time of writing, there have been no further posts from the Delta Force account on X, further building the excitement and curiosity among fans. With the new Battlefield game in the works and the next Call of Duty title expected to release later this year, TiMi Studio Group will no doubt want to improve Delta Force's accessibility sooner rather than later.
