The excitement around Marvel Rivals isn't slowing down, especially with leaks hinting at Deadpool, Hit-Monkey, and MODOK joining the roster.
Although there's been no official word yet, recent datamined voice lines hint that these three Marvel icons might be joining the game soon.
Dataminers dug up some unused voice lines, and fans pieced it all together almost instantly. The leaks are sourced from a trusted data miner, @X0X_LEAK, who has been known for uncovering accurate details in the past. The voice clips also reportedly align with the actors already in the game.
Some characters in the game keep dropping little clues about these potential newcomers. Spider-Man throws out a mysterious reference to a "loose cannon," which many suspect is a nod to Deadpool. While this isn't a dead giveaway, it's so like him.
Meanwhile, The Punisher makes things a little more obvious by mentioning a "monkey." Given that Hit-Monkey is one of the few primate characters in Marvel's universe, it seems like a clear hint.
The most obvious hints, however, point to MODOK, with both Captain America and Rocket Raccoon referencing a "weird giant head" and a "big brain."
These might be cut or scrapped content, but the fact they're still in the files kind of hints that NetEase might be setting them up for an update soon.
This isn't the first time voice lines have hinted at possible new additions to Marvel Rivals. Not too long ago, some datamined clips teased Emma Frost's arrival.
The success of Marvel Rivals and the growing hero lineup pretty much screams an official announcement is coming soon.
Until then, fans will have to wait and see if these leaks turn out to be the real deal.
