Good news, Chooms. It looks like Cyberpunk 2077 for the Nintendo Switch 2 will have cross-progression support, meaning players who’ve spent a handful of their time strolling through the streets of Night City on PC or PlayStation 5 can seamlessly continue their last save on the Switch successor.
CD Projekt Red confirmed the news on their social media channels. I mean, this is already a no-brainer considering CD Projekt Red did something similar with their previous games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
If we’re to follow what they did on previous entries, players can use the cross-progression system by navigating to the “Load Game” menu of their game (must be the latest version) and selecting the Cross Progression option displayed at the bottom left of the screen. The next step involves connecting the game to a CD PROJEKT RED account by following the on-screen instructions.
Once the account is linked, cross-progression is enabled by default. However, players have the option to toggle this feature on or off by accessing the settings menu under Gameplay and selecting “Enable cross-platform Saves.”
This makes it seamless to hop in from multiple consoles if you’ve been spending a lot of time in Night City, or you’re just a new player willing to take it to the Switch 2 for a fresher experience.
It’s a pretty easy process that Nintendo Switch 2 users will probably be familiar with, assuming they’re planning to continue V and Johnny Silverhand’s quest on Nintendo’s latest console this June 5. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is one of the most graphically impressive games that’s coming on the Switch successor.
