What Is the Battlefield 6 Top Gun Event?
From August 18 at 12:00 PM UTC (4:00 AM PDT) to September 15 at 12:00 PM UTC (4:00 AM PDT), the Top Gun Event will be available to play in Battlefield 6.
Players will be able to take flight in the new F/A-81F Super Spectre and F-74A Seacat two-seater fighter jets built for pilots and their wingmen. Battle across the skies in Top Gun: Carrier Strike and Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep, experience the return of Wake Island, and complete new Event Challenges to earn Ace Medals, a limited-time currency that can be spent on Top Gun-themed cosmetics.

Per the official Battlefield 6 website, your mission is to collect and exchange Ace Medals for items on the Top Gun event page. At first, you can choose the order of 10 items to unlock, including Weapon Packages, aerial Vehicle Skins, and Player Profile items. Aviators who earn enough Ace Medals to unlock all 10 items then gain access to one final exchange as a completion bonus: the “Ace Aviator” Soldier Skin.
How to Collect Ace Medals
Acquiring Ace Medals during the Top Gun Event will be essential if you want to unlock any of the exclusive rewards.
All the Ace Medals you need in order to unlock every event item can be earned by completing Challenges via the following methods:
- ACE PILOT CHALLENGES - These are similar to Bonus Path Challenges in previous events. The harder the challenge, the more Ace Medal tokens to earn.
