Season 2 of Battlefield 6 and REDSEC has been delayed until February 17.
According to EA and Battlefield Studios, "this extended launch has been implemented to allow extra time to further develop and refine Season 2 as a result of community feedback."
Confirmation of the delay comes after a report from EAA FPS News previously stated that Season 1 of Battlefield 6 is set to be extended as devs continue to prepare and fine-tune Season 2.
Although this development will undoubtedly disappoint the Battlefield community, the report did note that additional content is planned for the Season 1 extension, with a game update, new bonus path, daily login rewards, and 2XP weekends arriving in the coming weeks to keep players occupied.
The reveal of Season 2 also seemingly confirms that it will feature a toxic theme, with a short teaser posted on social media displaying someone wearing a mask while surrounded by what appears to be gas, as seen below.
An official roadmap for Season 2 is yet to be confirmed. We will have more on this story as and when it becomes available.
