Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders has been the talk of the town these past few days. Its addictive PvE and PvP mechanics are already hooking plenty of players. The unique encounters in every run make for interesting experiences that can range from “absolute cinema” to pure hilarity.
As players rack up hours of game time, upgrading their character becomes essential. Aside from workbenches, Scrappy, and Expeditions, ARC Raiders features a massive skill tree that grants one point every time you level up. However, players are having a tough time figuring out if there’s a way to reset or respec skill points. Let’s find out.
How To Respect & Reset Skills Points in ARC Raiders
Unfortunately, there’s no way to respec or reset your skill points unless you go on an Expedition. This serves as the game’s version of a character wipe, meaning you’ll start from scratch. That said, it’s not all bad news, as wiping your character guarantees extra perks like bonus XP and additional skill points for your next run.
Note: Going on an Expedition won’t take away your Creds, cosmetics, and player progress like Trials and Codex info.
Respeccing via Expeditions
To respec through Expeditions, players must follow a six-step process outlined in our Expedition guide. Once you reach Level 20, The Caravan Project will unlock, allowing you to start working on it.
Keep in mind that Expeditions consume a lot of your character’s resources, so make sure you’re fully committed before embarking on your final adventure with your Raider.
Players have been rallying to Embark about this, saying that resetting a character takes too much time and too many resources. Some have even suggested allowing respeccing at a cost without requiring an Expedition. Sadly, this isn’t on Embark’s radar at the moment, as the devs are focused on their upcoming roadmap, which includes a new map releasing this month called Stella Montis.
