All Battlefield 6 REDSEC Assignments

Battlefield 6

Teams in REDSEC fan out across Fort Lyndon, clearing objectives at speed and staying under pressure from combat.

Each drop cycles through different assignment categories, all with unique objectives, risks, and rewards.

Understanding how they function and how they tie into the wider Season 1 Battle Pass is crucial for getting the most progression and loot.

How Do You Activate Missions?

At any given time, your squad can accept one assignment from the available pool.

Once a squad member triggers the mission, the rest of the team is locked into that run and must either complete it or abandon it before a new one can begin.

If another team is already pursuing that goal, the assignment becomes a Counter Mission and moves the focus to PvP.

It becomes a calculated decision where you either focus on tasks you can clear smoothly or prepare to fight for them.

What REDSEC Missions Exist?

Below are the main mission types you’ll run into, along with what they aim to accomplish and what to keep in mind.

  • Signal Decryption: Lock down the devices or antennas, align them to strengthen the beacon, then complete the data dump. Most of the time, you’re focused on defending an area instead of engaging in open fights.
  • Weapons Cache: Locate a locked armory, use bolt cutters or other tools to open it, then claim the hardware inside. Good reward, moderate risk.
  • Demolition Crew: Pick up the bomb, move it to the objective, set it down, then survive until the countdown ends. If you’re intercepting it (Counter version), you’ll need to defuse or intercept the attacker.
  • Marked: One teammate is tracked by enemies; the objective is to disable the tracker so the team can go back to stealth. Inversely, if you’re the intercepting squad, you’ll hunt the marked.
  • High-Value Assets: Control three pickup points on the map and hold them long enough to secure the asset. Enemy squads can flip the objective if they snag at least one point first.
  • Data Extraction: Retrieve valuable intel or a package from a wreck/site and get it to an extraction zone. Sometimes needs a well-timed route to work smoothly.
  • Headhunter (Targeted): A specific enemy (or squad) becomes the target. Eliminate the marked opponent for a guaranteed premium reward.
  • Tank Hunter (Targeted): You’re given anti-tank gear, and the objective is to destroy a marked vehicle. Wait too long, and that vehicle becomes a danger to your squad.

Each assignment you clear gives worthwhile prizes, like high-tier firearms, specialty deployment gear, armored vehicle key cards, and progression boosters.

Season 1’s Battle Pass counts progress from both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, so completing REDSEC assignments still raises your tiers.
