Ocarina of Time Remake Release Date
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake will officially release on November 5, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch 2.
This is exclusive to the Switch 2 and will not release on the original Switch 1.
Ocarina of Time Remake Editions and Price
The Ocarina of Time Remake is now available to pre-order through the Nintendo eShop on console or the Nintendo website. The game starts at $60/€60/£50 for the standard digital edition.
A physical edition, which features a special textured foil cover art, will also be available. This special packaging will be available while supplies last, and a price hasn't been announced.
Although we are still waiting for confirmation from Nintendo, we expect a physical version with the standard packaging should be available as well.
The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Console & Accessories
To prepare players for the remake, Nintendo announced a special Zelda-themed Switch 2 console. The Nintendo Switch 2 - The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition will launch on October 29, 2026.
As you can see, the Joy-Cons will be green with some gold details, while the charging station will feature a black/gold design with the Triforce logo in the middle.
The lineup doesn't end there, as there will also be a Zelda 40th anniversary edition of the Switch 2 Pro Controller and the Switch 2 case.
The Nintendo Store in New York and San Francisco will offer a special stand for the Pro Controller. Prices for the console, the Pro Controller, and the case haven't been revealed.
In terms of amiibos, the game will launch with two new amiibos: Young Link and Young Zelda. When used, these amiibos will grant an in-game mask with their character's design in the original Ocarina of Time.
The two amiibos won't be available in time for the remake's release, as they are currently scheduled to come out sometime in 2027.
