2K Games finally revealed the rating for Roman Reigns, the cover start of WWE 2K25. Contrary to what you might believe, he isn't the single best superstar in the roster.
With a small video posted on social media, it was revealed that Roman Reigns will have a rating of 96 in the upcoming 2K25. That puts him as the best active wrestler in the game, alongside the current WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.
The OTC of WWE was not pleased as neither were his fans. 2K revealed to him that the game will feature several legends with a higher rating than him, calling that decision "trash."
After all, anything below perfection is not enough for the man who held the company's prized gold for over three consecutive years. Being tied in rating to the man who dethroned him also feels like a gut punch.
Of course, it's all clearly in gest. At least one member of the Samoan family is trying to keep kayfabe, or what's left of it, alive.
Despite losing the title last year and being absent for the majority of 2024 and early 2025, fans still want to see Reigns with a higher rating than Cody Rhodes.
The rating for 2K25 represents the second year in a row where Roman Reigns sees a downgrade. Last year, the Samoan was rated 97. In 2023, amid his legendary title run, the former Shield member was rated 99, a perfect score.
It's rather ironic that 2K25, of all years, is the one that will feature Reigns as the game's cover star. 2K has also prepared a showcase featuring the Bloodline, one of the most interesting storylines the company has constructed in recent years, albeit one that might be running its course.
For Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 users (sorry PC and last-gen players), 2K Games has also developed The Island, a semi-open world with plenty of landmarks inspired by iconic wrestlers, including Roman.
WWE 2K25 will launch this March 14 for PC, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. You'll be able to play it a week early by purchasing either the Bloodline or Deadman editions.
