As revealed in a post on the Call of Duty blog, Mikkelsen will play an antagonist called "The Archer."
Previously, all trailers and teasers suggested that the game's story will be split into two main plot points: North Korea's invasion of South Korea and the manhunt for Captain Price, who is on the run after the events of Modern Warfare 3.
However, the newest TGS 2026 campaign trailer unveiled a greater threat to the story, which is the actor's character. The blog explains that an unknown weapon of war is being delivered to this mysterious character.
The following quote from Kate Laswell, who is also returning, is included in the post: “You are moving a weapon of war. What do you think happens when that weapon gets to the Archer?”
