Black Ops 6 is due a send-off with Season 6 before everybody locks in on BO7. It hasn't exactly been a remarkable post-launch run for the shooter, but that also sets it up perfectly to end on a high note. 

With October fast approaching, it is time for our yearly spooky batches of content as well. So, here's when Season 6 of Warzone and Black Ops 6 launches, including details on expected content.

Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 6 Release Date

Season 6 for Black Ops 6 will release on October 9, 2025. This is when Season 5 will end, and the new season always begins right as the old one leaves.

The update is launching during a particularly contested schedule. Black Ops 7 beta will end just a day before it, and Battlefield 6 will release a day after the seasonal update goes live.

Of course, that means if you love both series, you're in for a busy few weeks. Otherwise, you may find it hard to immediately look back after playing BO7 and the imminent Battlefield 6. Given the busy period, Activision may push the date back, although that seems unlikely.

So far, there haven't been any official teases or major leaks regarding the content for the upcoming Season 6. 

However, since it is October, the yearly Haunting event is likely to be featured. Things will get spookier when it goes live, with themed maps, content, bundles, and much more. Some of the existing maps will also see changes. Every corner gets eerily dimmed; look closely and you'll see a machete-wielding Pennywise-looking operator coming to hunt you down. 

Accompanying all the horror is the usual batch of staple content in maps, guns, equipment, and the like. All in all, you can expect:

  • The Haunting Event
  • New Battle Pass
  • New Maps
  • New Events
  • New Guns & Equipment
  • LTM New & Returning Modes
  • Balancing changes.
