As many may recall, Blackout is the franchise's first attempt at the Battle Royale genre, released in 2018 as one of the major modes available in Black Ops 4, substituting the campaign.

This is not a 1-to-1 recreation, as Black Ops Royale takes place on the Avalon map, which was previously only available in the Endgame mode from Black Ops 7.

How Does Black Ops Royale Work?

Black Ops Royale tries to recreate the Blackout experience with its gameplay. Here are some of the features we can list:
