First announced earlier this year in another State of Play presentation, Until Dawn 2 was showcased in the latest State of Play with a new trailer, and we finally have a release date.

The anticipated sequel is scheduled to come out on January 28, 2027, exclusively for the PlayStation 5. A PC version has been ruled out given that Sony has reverted its strategy and doesn't plan to release exclusives on the platform moving forward.

A new trailer was also unveiled, in which we follow the Dead True crew, a group of amateur paranormal documenters and investigators. We first see the crew shooting an episode in the Blackwood Sanatorium, where the team's new intern uncovers something frightening.

Then we jump into a HorrorCon convention in Sydney, where the crew is doing a panel until a member in the audience reveals she is a survivor of a paranormal attack. This sets the crew on a journey to a tropical island, where they will try to uncover its mysteries.

The trailer shows how the game presents its choices, and some of the possible outcomes players will get. You can watch it below:

Pre-orders will open on Thursday, September 10, and players can secure either the Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition. The latter will include the base game, and the following items:
