  • Quick Answer: After its reveal, social media posts from the official accounts revealed more info about the Untitled John Wick game.

The most recent State of Play had plenty of announcements, but one of the few surprises was a brand-new John Wick game.

The highly capable assassin, played by Keanu Reeves on the big screen, is getting another video game adaptation, and this one seems more serious and with a greater budget than the John Wick Hex game launched in 2019.

The trailer features many combat scenes, showing us that the title will recreate the action scenes and camera work the movies are famous for. Although the reveal trailer doesn't give away much (not even a release year), some information was revealed through the developer's social media and official descriptions.

Saber Interactive is in charge of development in collaboration with Lionsgate and the director of the four John Wick movies, Chad Stahelski. As described in the trailer description on YouTube, the game will have an original script set in the John Wick universe.

On top of that, the game's official tagline seemingly confirms the story will be a prequel, taking place in the days when John was making himself famous. Here is the tagline in question: "Before the car. Before the dog. Before he became the Baba Yaga."

Another detail is that the game will feature characters from the franchise we already know, meaning we could see cameos at some point.

We may have to wait a bit before we get more information or even another trailer for the title, but this could be the next step for the franchise, given that no new movies appear to be in production at the time.
