With almost two weeks until the new game arrives, the Call of Duty League has announced the full calendar for the upcoming Black Ops 7 season, and some major changes are coming that will please the fans.
For starters, the league shared a roadmap with all the events, locations, and dates for the new year. There will be five LAN tournaments, with each one hosting its Challengers tournament, and two minor online tournaments.
The first LAN will be at Dallas, Texas, United States, and will be hosted by Optic Texas, the back-to-back champions from last season. Major II will be at the Dreamhack event in Birmingham, UK. Major III will be in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and Major IV will be back in Europe, but this time in Paris.
COD Champs 2026 will be in Vegas and hosted by the rebranded Faze Texas. Here is the complete roadmap with all the dates:

The formats for Major II and Major III will play out a bit differently from the traditional major. Major II qualifiers will have a full online round-robin format, and the top 10 teams will qualify for the LAN event.
From there, seeds 7 through 10 will compete in a play-in bracket, and the top two will advance to the double-elimination bracket. This means that two teams from those seeds will go out of the LAN tournament after losing one series.
Major III will be a PRO-AM tournament, as four challenger teams will be able to qualify and compete in the major with the pro teams. They will all be split into four groups of four, and only the top two from each group will advance to a double-elimination bracket.
Two minor tournaments will take place during Major III and Major IV online matches, giving a boost to the race to qualify for Champs.
Just like the past two seasons, the Black Ops 7 season will close out with the Esports World Cup tournament, which is expected to take place sometime in August.
Apart from the calendar, the league also announced that Overload, the new Black Ops 7 mode that was available in the beta, will be the third game mode, replacing Control.
Lastly, the YouTube exclusivity is finally gone, and the league will be transmitted simultaneously through Twitch and YouTube, allowing watch parties to be broadcast on any of those platforms.
