It's official: Starfield is coming to PlayStation 5.

When it was released in 2023, Starfield only launched on Windows and Xbox Series X/S. The game received praise for its open-world setting, and yet, PlayStation owners were unable to join in on the fun.

Until now, that is. Here's everything we know about Starfield's PS5 debut and what it includes.

Starfield Officially Coming to PS5 in April

According to PlayStation, Starfield will be available to play on the PS5 from April 7. The announcement also included news about the game's biggest free update yet, Free Lanes, and the brand-new Terran Armada story DLC, which will go live on all platforms.

The DualSense controller speaker will also allow you to fully immerse yourself in in-game audio logs and ship intercoms. For PS5 Pro owners, Starfield has been visually enhanced with a Visual mode that runs at 4K with 30 FPS. There is also a Performance Mode with 60 FPS.

Starting from launch, players will be able to play the Trackers Alliance bounty arc, which is available for purchase at the Creations menu.

Starfield Announces Free Lanes Update & Terran Armada DLC

Starfield will also be dropping its biggest free update, Free Lanes, on April 7. The update will be available on all platforms, allowing every explorer in the Settled Systems to feel more alive than ever.
