Sony and PlayStation are banking big on fighting games, and we now know more about the upcoming fight stick (via PlayStation Blog) designed to make the most out of the PS5 and PC: FlexStrike.
Originally unveiled during the June 2025 State of Play (the one in which Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was announced), the PlayStation-branded fight stick is set to come out at a bizarre time. Those in the fighting game community are pivoting away from these peripherals, opting for leverless controllers or even regular controllers (commonly referred to as pads). Still, plenty, including casual fans, have a soft spot for what fight sticks meant for the scene decades ago, and they are still using them to this day.
The FlexStrike is looking like a premium purchase with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from the likes of top-tier Qanba or Victrix devices. Before you're too worried about latency issues, while it's being heavily marketed as a wireless controller, the FlexStrike does come with a USB-C cable on top of the PS Link USB adapter.
Another very neat addition that fighting game players will like is the fact that it comes with different types of restrictor gates. So whether you like square, circle, or octagon gates, the FlexStrike includes all right out of the bat, with the bonus that they look to be hot-swappable.
If you're into clicky mechanical buttons, the FlexStrike does come with a set of slick PS5 DualSense-looking ones. Obviously, the trailer didn't showcase the ability to swap them or the lever, but hopefully, that's something you can do easily to add another layer of customization to the stick.

To top it all off, the Flex Stick will come with a case to carry the stick and all the components.
How Much Will The FlexStrike Cost?
So far, there has been no news on the PlayStation FlexStrike fight stick price. I'd warn you, though, this does look to be a premium device comparable to Victrix's or Qanba's most expensive designs.
For comparison's sake, the Victrix Pro FS costs $400 (although it's on sale regularly). The Qanba Obsidian 2 retails for $350 (likewise, often found cheaper). I expect the FlexStrike to hit a similar number when it launches.
When Is The Sony Fight Stick Coming Out, Anyway?
Sony has stated the FlexStrike is coming out in 2026. Beyond that, no information has been shared.
