In response, CEO Matt Karch issued an official statement, clapping back at the allegations. His statement claims he didn't even know who Sacco was and that he had consulted the AI model Claude to learn who she is.

He claimed that Sacco wasn't fired to be replaced by AI. Instead, she was terminated for disclosing development details before any official announcement. Karch also clarified that she wasn't replaced by AI. Instead, she was replaced by another specialist who was "more talented."
Karch stated, "Let me clarify that the entire story script, were it to win an award, would go to someone who can walk up on stage and receive it. It was always our intention to reveal this until Stella violated her confidentiality clause and revealed this before we were ready."
