Pokémon has shown up in every form it can, whether animated or live-action, but 2023 gave fans something different with the stop-motion series Pokémon Concierge.

Although the miniseries initially ran for only four episodes, fans can now expect more of Haru and Psyduck at the Pokémon Resort.

More Episodes of Pokémon Concierge Incoming

As per the official Pokémon YouTube channel, more episodes of Pokémon Concierge are coming to Netflix. Check out the trailer here:

While there isn’t any official plot breakdown, the video does describe the new episodes, “Haru, who is still finding her feet as a concierge, and Psyduck, as they grow together through their interactions with the resort’s Pokémon guests.”

Though some of the usual Pokémon are expected to appear in the new episodes, the teaser shows the stop-motion version of Shinx and the series' take on Arcanine—even though he looks a bit small.

Watch Episodes for Free

Though Pokémon Concierge was a Netflix exclusive, the trailer has also confirmed that they will be streaming all four series episodes for a limited time.

Available on the Official Pokémon YouTube channel, the four Pokémon Concierge episodes will be available for free until March 9. The Pokémon Company writes, “Please take this chance to watch them if you haven’t been able to tune in to Pokémon Concierge yet, and we hope you look forward to the new episodes as well.”

What’s So Unique about Pokémon Concierge?

Though Pokémon as a property has been an action anime for as long as fans can remember, Pokémon Concierge is one of the first series in the franchise to lean in on the ‘cute’ aspect of the Pokémon, opting for colorful, relaxing visuals compared to heart-pumping anime action.

The series' human protagonist is Haru, a newcomer to the Pokémon Resort. While she interacts with all kinds of Pokémon on the show, she’s joined by the other human workers at the resort, who also deal with special Pokémon like Alisa and Tyler. Haru is paired up with a Psyduck so the series can have a main Pokémon mascot.

So far, the series has gotten a mostly positive critic score and is one of the more unique Pokémon properties to come out in the 2020s. Though some may think that stop-motion is a dying art form for animation, Pokémon Concierge is a unique testament to the aesthetic and has fans falling in love with the felt Pokémon come-to-life on the show.

It’s unclear how many new episodes will be released, but it's exciting to see more of Haru and this colorful world again.

New episodes of Pokémon Concierge are expected to debut on Netflix this September. The original four episodes are now available to stream on YouTube and Netflix.
