Following Halo Infinite's release late last year, developer 1047 Games has revealed that the PlayStation player count for their 2019 shooter game, Splitgate, has increased significantly.

Speaking in an interview with The Loadout (thanks VGC), 1047's CEO, Ian Proulx, mentioned their game's improvement in terms of player count, primarily for their PlayStation players after Halo Infinite was fully released last December. Part of his statement reads as:

Proulx also expressed how those games raise the genre as a whole, mentioning how some kids are still unable to play games like Quake and Unreal. Proulx said:
