Diablo 2 Resurrected keeps being updated with new tweaks and improvements for this classic game, now remastered for the next-gen. After several months since the game was released in September 2021, the developing team continues to work and make further optimizations to the game, while also listening closely to the community and the feedback they provide. Blizzard has released a brand new patch update for Diablo 2 Resurrected on the game's PTR. This new patch makes a few significant changes and for a look into the general balance changes, class-specific changes, and bug fixes click here.

The 2.4 update might be available on the Diablo 2 Resurrected PTR, but for any fans not interested in trialing the experimental version of the game, we've still got a long wait for its release. In the meantime though, streamer and Diablo content creator MrLlamaSC has released a Community Feedback Survey (Via Wowhead) to get a sense of what players are enjoying about Patch 2.4. Blizzard has announced some of the potential balance changes coming to Diablo II: Resurrected very soon. The games PTR will officially go live on Tuesday, January 25, PST. In the developer's own words, "This will be our community’s first opportunity to experience these changes and share their feedback from their playthroughs." Obviously, these changes will not be applied to the game's live servers but should arrive in a couple of weeks' time. In addition, if you missed that Developer Update Stream, you can watch it below.

Well, this is certainly interesting. The first new Diablo 2 runeword in 17 years has been revealed as part of an official preview with popular Diablo 2 streamer Dbrunski125. The streamer's latest video (seen below) runs the rule over Resurrected's brand new Runeword, which is called 'Unbending Will', and is due to arrive in the game's upcoming Patch 2.4 update. Blizzard has launched the Diablo 2: Resurrected Public Test Realm (or PTR) so they can start testing builds and features before they're released to the live game. For now though, the PTR is only testing small update and not Diablo 2 Update 2.4, although the devs have teased that Patch 2.4 is "coming soon".

Happy New Year and welcome to 2022! Though Blizzard hasn't shared any further details on Patch 2.4, we know it's coming in "early 2022". Let's hope the development team has more details to share at some point later this month along with a new 2022 roadmap for the game.

Blizzard has outlined some of the key balance changes coming to Diablo 2 Resurrected with the game's next update, or Patch 2.4, which is coming to the PTR "early 2022". The new update 2.3 patch for Diablo 2: Resurrected has been released by Blizzard and should now be available to all versions of the game, including Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Blizzard made a new post in the forums, showcasing the major Highlights of the upcoming Patch 2.3 of Diablo 2: Resurrected. These cover everything from Difficulty Scaling to Graphics and Accessibility improvements, along with future updates and other changes. You'll find all the relevant changes, further down.
Blizzard has confirmed a tentative release date for Patch 2.3, which is set to arrive in "early December".

Diablo 2 Resurrected Update 2.4 Release Date
At the time of writing Blizzard has not given an official release date for Update 2.4.
So far update 2.4 only has a broad "early next year" release date penciled in. How 'early' this could be isn't clear, but we would hope for a January launch on the PTR since the developers have been fairly consistent with releasing updates as least once a month since the game launched in September.

- Base damage and level scaling increased by about 75% (also to compensate for the incorrect damage calculation in the past)

- Controls are updated so that the skill now casts in free form and no longer locks onto one target at a time
- Mana Cost baseline reduced from 7 Mana per second to 4 Mana per second
- Range baseline increased by 75%
Blaze
- Damage scaling increased by about 60%
- Warmth synergy increased from 4% to 6%
- Removed synergy from Fire Wall

- Casting Delay will no longer share its cooldown with other skills that have Casting Delays

- You can now spawn multiple hydras on controller when holding the button down
- Casting delay removed
- Limited max number of Hydra groups to 6
