The Palworld cross-play update is finally coming after a long wait, so fans will soon be able to play with each other on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. Gamers have been patiently waiting for this update, as the appeal of shooting your friends with Pokémon-like creatures grows. It will be interesting to see what kind of state the cross-play will be in, but this is a good first step.

According to the game’s official X account, players across all systems can battle and survive with each other in late March. The developers did not give a definitive date for this feature, but at least fans have an idea on when it will be available. Cross-play will always be a force for good and that could revive some interest in this beloved survival title.

Curious fans can now get Palworld at 25% off on PlayStation and Steam to celebrate the cross-play update. It’s a good way to incentivize players who haven’t been able to try out this game for one reason or another. Then again, considering how many copies this title has already sold, developer Pocketpair might not be too worried about that.

It might not be the new hotness anymore, but there was a time when fans couldn’t stop talking about this Pokémon-like survival game. After being disappointed by the various games on Switch, many felt that this new take on the creature-catching genre would signal the fresh direction they’ve been waiting for. That concept worked for a ton of fans and this game wouldn’t stop selling at one point.

Some of that shine was taken away when The Pokémon Company sued Pocketpair for copying aspects of their franchise. This led to some changes for the survival sim, with the devs removing those Pokéball-like objects from the game. Granted, this title still has plenty of fans but that did hurt its chances with sections of the community.

Nonetheless, Palworld is finally getting that heavily-requested cross-play update. Guess it’s time to shoot our friends and their Pals!
