A new year is starting, and Season 20 is still going strong in Overwatch 2. However, the season won't stay around for too long, with Blizzard already teasing what we can expect for the first season of the new year.

When Does Overwatch 2 Season 20 End?
Overwatch 2 Season 20 is scheduled to end on Tuesday, February 10, lasting exactly nine weeks. This is one week more than usual to account for the holidays and the time off for the developers.
The season will end at 11:00 AM PT (7:00 PM GMT), when the update for Season 21 comes out on all platforms.
Mid-Season Update
Before Season 21 arrives, players will receive a new batch of content with the upcoming mid-season update. This patch should arrive on Tuesday, January 6 or January 13 at 11:00 AM PT (7:00 PM GMT) for all platforms.
One of the additions coming with this update is a new mythic skin for Doomfist titled Magma Titan. Once it goes live, players will be able to unlock it through the Mythic shop using their Mythic Prisms.
As you may have noticed, the battle pass for this season has some cosmetics themed around this upcoming mythic that gives us a clue as to how it will look.
Apart from that, it's unclear what other surprises Blizzard has in store for the second half of this season. Given that the first half didn't include a new collaboration event, many are speculating that we could see another crossover event with a brand-new IP.
