BOOM! Nintendo really played its cards close to its chest, unveiling a brand-new Star Fox game out of the blue (if you ignored the multiple leaks spoiling the surprise). The game will release on June 25, 2026.
The announcement was so sudden that the Star Fox only Nintendo Direct was revealed a measly 10 minutes before it aired on May 6. The game will be yet another reimagining of Star Fox 64, following the 3DS version and Star Fox Zero.
This take on Fox McCloud and the rest of the Star Fox gang has a more 'realistic' look. Ditching the almost Disney-like designs, opting for a more uncanny valley design that might be a little bit creepy to look at if you're used to the original look of these iconic characters.
