- Quick Answer: New Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay was unexpectedly revealed in a recent episode of South Park, showcasing bizarre in-game actions.
If you thought Rockstar using Netflix to debut new GTA 6 gameplay was wild, you sure weren’t ready for the studio to also do it via a South Park episode.
Following a massive feature in EDGE magazine that revealed plenty of details—including the map size of GTA 6—a new episode of South Park premiered featuring brand-new footage of the game. True to the show’s nature, the gameplay wasn’t particularly riveting, but rather funny and a bit gross: it features Jason at a beach, picking up dog poop and throwing it at poor, innocent bystanders.

Before you ask the obvious question: yes, that is in fact real, proper GTA 6 gameplay. The credits of the episode even feature a special note thanking Rockstar for providing the footage.
The episode in question is titled “Guinea Pig on a Stick,” serving as the fourth episode of the show’s 29th season. While the main plot has absolutely nothing to do with Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar found a brilliant way to pull off some on-the-nose advertising by collaborating with a series known for satirizing American culture just as much as the studio itself.
That concept alone is hilarious, but the fact that they took this opportunity to showcase actual new gameplay is the ultimate cherry on top.
Players won’t have to wait too long to throw their own pieces of poop at NPCs, as GTA 6 is set to release on November 19 for both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
