NetherRealm Studios may have already used the T-800 Terminator in Mortal Kombat 11, but they plan to use more killer robots from that franchise in MK1.

The T-1000 is the last character to come with Kombat Pack 2, and a new gameplay reveal has been dropped for him, as well as a showcase for the new Kameo fighter, Madam Bo.

T-1000 and Madam Bo

A new trailer from NRS shows off the skills of the liquid metal T-1000 Terminator. Check him out:

As expected, the T-1000 will use the fullest of his shapeshifting abilities to come up with all kinds of weapons, but he also turns into liquid to traverse space and zip around his enemies.

He also can be temporarily invulnerable as he walks straight into enemies without getting damaged or budged.

Oddly enough, NRS didn’t decide to do anything with his ability to mimic other people's faces. Sure, that’s Shang Tsung’s gimmick in the game, but the only time the T-1000 imitates the face of the enemy is when he performs his Fatality.

As for Madam Bo, she wasn’t expected to be a kameo fighter, but it looks like the fanbase loved her enough to be able to make her a playable fighter.

As her name suggests, Madam Bo fights like the classic MK character Bo Rai Cho with her Drunken Fist abilities. She also gives her partner a power boost by serving tea, and they find a way to incorporate her smoking by having her set enemies on fire during her Fatal Blow attack.

Could There be a Kombat Pack 3?

Rumors swirled earlier last year that Mortal Kombat 1 could cancel any future Kombat Packs due to poor sales, but that has been debunked. The devs are said to be looking forward to adding even more characters.

It’s not clear who else they could bring into the game, but several characters from previous MK games remain, and there are a plethora of WB IPs from which they can obtain guest characters.

While there seems to be a favoring for 80s characters, maybe there could be room for some newer faces released in the 2010s. Pennywise The Clown from the IT movies seems like he would fit right into the MK roster with his shapeshifting powers and creepy vibe, but maybe Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen from Dune: Part Two could also be a great fit, thanks to his penchant for violence; they can even switch out his skins from Austin Butler’s version to the Feyd that Sting played in the original Dune from David Lynch.

Admittedly, Kombat Pack 3 has yet to be officially announced, but maybe NRS already knows who else they want to add to the game.

The T-1000 and Madam Bo came to the MK1 roster on March 25. Mortal Kombat 1 is now available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
