Good news for Monster Hunter Wilds fans — according to series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yuya Tokuda during a Monster Hunter Wilds Digital Event, the game’s first Free Title Update will arrive earlier than expected.
The update is set to launch in early April, just a month and a half after the game’s release — which, at the time of writing, is only a few hours away.

Capcom and the Monster Hunter Wilds team also teased that even more content is on the way in the Spring Title Update, beyond just the graceful pink Leviathan, Mizutsune.
In a series of posts on Monster Hunter Wilds’ official social pages, Capcom provided a brief look at what players can expect from Title Update 1 when it drops in early April.
Gathering Hubs
It seems Capcom has listened to fans who voiced concerns about Wilds’ lack of a dedicated space to gather and interact with friends. The absence of a Gathering Hub was a disappointment for some, as Wilds spreads its online lobbies across the game’s new base camps.
The upcoming update introduces a brand-new area where players can hang out, eat meals together, and socialize — similar to what Monster Hunter World and Iceborne did. Let’s hope it also serves as a place to store rare Endemic Life captures.
Powerful Monsters
Ryozo and Tokuda also hinted at the introduction of monsters even stronger than the already formidable Tempered monsters. This could potentially mean one thing: Arch-Tempered Monsters. While no Elder Dragons have been confirmed for Monster Hunter Wilds yet, the return of these uber-powerful creatures would certainly raise the game’s challenge.
The early April timing is perfect, giving players a chance to refine their builds and experiment with meta skills and weapons before facing these new threats.
There’s also growing speculation that Mizutsune won’t be the only new monster introduced. Could we see Zinogre or the fan-favorite Lagiacrus make their return?
For now, that’s all we know about the upcoming Spring Update, or Title Update 1. Best of all, this content will be completely free for all Monster Hunter Wilds players.
