- Quick Answer: Check out the new Mega Man: Dual Override trailer from Gamescom 2026, highlighting new characters, gameplay mechanics, and its improved visual style.
Mega Man: Dual Override looks incredible, and the new Gamescom 2026 trailer made me want it even more.
Originally announced at The Game Awards 2025, after I pleaded months prior that the Blue Bomber deserved his comeback, the latest trailer gave us a better glimpse of Mega Man’s abilities in this game, as well as friends and foes that will join him in his quest to stop the perennial danger to humanity that is Dr. Wily.
Among the enemies, we got our first look at a new Robot Master, or rather, Robot Mistress, as Twinkle Girl will join Dual Override as a rare female boss for Mega Man to try to defeat.

The Blue Bomber won’t be alone, as the iconic Proto Man will join forces with Mega Man, who will be able to use what Capcom is calling custom chips (very Battle Network-coded), to modify his abilities and make full use of his Override mechanic.
While there wasn’t anything particularly wrong with 11’s art style, Dual Override just looks leaps and bounds better. It’s colorful but polished, without the weird, cheap look the previous game had. I honestly can’t wait to see more.
To wrap up the Mega surprises, a new costume in Pragmata was shown. It looked rather bizarre, if I do say so myself; take a look at it below.

Mega Man: Dual Override will launch in 2027, just in time to celebrate the IP’s 30th anniversary. It’ll be available on Nintendo Switch 1 & 2, Xbox One and Series, PS4 and PS5, and PC.
