Hangar 13 and 2K have officially announced the release date for the next entry in their acclaimed Mafia series. Coming this August 8, 2025, Mafia: The Old Country marks a bold new direction for the franchise, serving as a prequel set years before the events of the original trilogy.
Live out that Godfather-like dream in 1900s Sicily and uncover the true origins of the Mafia that has shaped the series from the very beginning.
For the first time in the series, Mafia: The Old Country will feature a linear level design as opposed to the previous entries' open-world design. The Old Country takes immersion to a whole new level with its more focused third-person action-adventure experience. From damp underground crypts to lush vineyards and grand opera houses, protagonist Enzo Favara must prove his worth and rise through the ranks of the Sicilian underworld.
The road through the Old Country is harsh and unforgiving. Fortunately, Enzo is well-equipped for the journey; armed with a stiletto blade for silent assassinations, a “Lupara” sawed-off shotgun for brutal close-quarters combat, a trusty horse for quick getaway, and more.
Pre-orders for Mafia: The Old Country are available now, with two editions to choose from: the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition.
