Warhorse Studios has dropped a massive update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and when I say massive, I mean over 1,000 fixes and improvements kind of massive.
Patch 1.2 is packed with new features, rebalancing tweaks, and performance upgrades that fine-tune nearly every aspect of the game.
Now, before you panic, I’m not about to list every single fix because we’d be here forever. The patch notes are practically a medieval manuscript at this point. But here’s what you actually need to know.
One of the biggest features in this update is the return of barbershops, a fan-requested addition that was oddly missing at launch. Henry can now stop by barbers in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg to get a fresh cut.
If you’ve ever wanted to tweak KCD2 now’s your chance. The update brings official mod support through Steam Workshop, meaning players can now customize UI, adjust AI behaviors, experiment with combat mechanics, and probably create some outlandish (yet amazing) mods.
Warhorse has opened up over 300 elements for modding, so expect the community to go wild with creativity.
This update overhauls combat balance, adjusting weapon effectiveness, skill growth, and the overall challenge of encounters. For example, polearms have been upgraded, giving them greater effectiveness in battle.
A long-standing issue of being interrupted while drawing a weapon has also been resolved, allowing Henry to keep arming himself even when hit.
For those who dealt with frame drops in the busy streets of Kuttenberg, there’s some good news: the update introduces significant optimizations, improving performance in crowded areas.
NPCs behave more naturally, animations are polished, and physics (yes, including the legendary parsnip physics) have been improved.
Console players also get some love, with PS5 audio glitches finally fixed and better UI clarity on Xbox Series S. If all these fixes weren’t enough, this patch also preps the game for three upcoming expansions:
- Brushes With Death (Summer 2025)
- Legacy of the Forge (Fall 2025)
- Mysteria Ecclesiae (Winter 2025)
New quests, new adventures, and probably more historically accurate chaos on the way.
So, whether you’re returning to Henry’s journey or diving in for the first time, now’s the perfect time to experience Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in all its (much less buggy) glory.
