Do you want to know if Borderlands 4 is coming to Game Pass? Don't worry, we got you covered.
The latest entry in the heavily popular Gearbox saga is right around the corner. Set to be released this September 13, Borderlands 4 has found itself amid some pricing controversy.
Originally slated to retail for $80, Gearbox and 2K revealed that the game would be launching with a $70 price tag instead. While it's a good thing overall, fans still felt that it was all a publicity stunt to gain some goodwill.
There's still hope for many that Borderlands 4 hits the Microsoft and Xbox subscription service. Sadly, we got some bad news.
Is Borderlands 4 Going To Be On Game Pass?
The answer is no. Borderlands 4 won't be on Game Pass. At least initially.
While Microsoft has struck deals with third-party developers, Borderlands 4 won't be one of the games that'll make it to the service on day one.
That being said, it's entirely possible that Borderlands 4 will eventually make it to Xbox Game Pass. Whether that's later this same year (highly unlikely) or sometime in 2026 and beyond, remains to be seen.
If you're a Game Pass fan, don't despair. 2025 has been a stellar year for the service with Game of the Year contenders from third parties like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 making it to the service on day one. Of course, the likes of Doom: The Dark Ages, Avowed, or The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered have also joined the service as soon as they have launched.
In any case, if there's news of Borderlands 4 making it to Game Pass, we'll update this article accordingly.
Borderlands is set to come out on September 13 for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC. A Nintendo Switch 2 is also in development and will be released at a later date.
