According to the leaker, Naughty Dog is targeting a 2027 release date for their new title. He didn't provide a specific date, but this is a good sign for those who don't want to wait many years to try the game (I'm looking at you, The Elder Scrolls VI).

Now, take this release window with a grain of salt, as nothing has been officially said from either Sony or Naughty Dog. However, considering that the leaker has shared truthful information in the past, like the existence of a new Star Fox remake before its official announcement, he might be on to something.

The Heretic Prophet is set 2000 years in the future, in an alternative universe where advanced space travel existed by 1986. The story follows Jordan A. Mun, a veteran bounty hunter who gets stranded on a remote planet called Sempiria while looking for the "Five Aces" criminal syndicate.

The title will be a PlayStation exclusive, meaning it will release only for the PlayStation 5, as Sony has abandoned their plans to port exclusives to PC.
