This is a shame in many ways. I am someone who still believes we need physical games. Not only am I the type of gamer who likes seeing my video game cases lined up neatly on my shelf, but I also think physical discs make gaming more accessible since you can share discs with friends.
But besides that, I believe collector's items of Phantom Blade Zero could sell exceptionally well. They could have released models of ornate, jagged weapons or models of Soul wearing intricate armor. Having this game be an all-digital release feels like a huge missed opportunity since the game has such a unique, gritty atmosphere that could translate well to tangible items.

Sure, they could release digital artbooks and the soundtrack online, but it wouldn't hit the same. There's no better feeling than opening a beautiful box and being greeted with items that best represent the game. S-Game has built a world worth losing yourself in - I just wish they gave us a physical piece of it to keep.
