To get the Demeniss Royal Guard Shield, you'll need to go to the Church of East Demeniss. On the map, this is in the east of the last S in "Demeniss," in the southeast of the Golden Plains.

Once you reach the church, turn west. You will see a section near the tombstones - enter it and find a gap in front of the statue. With the ladder, go down or jump to enter the underground chambers. Be careful, there are a lot of traps hidden in these chambers.

Venture towards the gate - there will be a trap rope that you can shoot or jump over. Enter the room and pull the lever to open up the path. Run to the other side - and be careful, because you will be facing damage from all sides.

Climb the stairs and jump over the trap rope to enter a room with three closed gates and levels. Two of them are traps, but one contains the Demeniss Royal Guard Shield. Turn right and pull the lever to unveil an altar with the Shield.
