Looking to level up your Tadpole in Subnautica 2? Then you'll need Troilite.

Troilite is used to build the Tadpole Depth Module Mk. 2, which allows your vehicle to swim deeper. It's also used to build the Photovoltaic Charger, Mangalloy Ingot, Ultra-High Capacity Air Tank, and more.

It's extremely useful, but it's hard to get. Here's everything you need to know.

How to Get Troilite in Subnautica 2

You'll need to find the Alien Ruins and the Angel Comb. Take note that these areas are quite deep - over 300 meters deep, in fact. It will be easier to embark on this journey after unlocking the Tadpole.

When in the area, select Tab to open your inventory, and click Signals. Now, head towards the Angel Comb. Once you've reached the Angel Comb, head northeast and go deeper 400 meters. As you head down, you'll start seeing green pools in the distance - this is the Root Canyon Biome, where you can farm Troilite.

You'll need to leave your Tadpole and keep it in a safe spot to collect the Troilite in the area. Swim as close to the ground as possible to find Mineralized Clinkers, then use your Sonic Resonater to mine them into Troilite.

Take note that the area is guarded by a giant squid. Getting too close to the squid will cause it to attack you, especially if they spot you in the Tadpole. Stay near the ocean floor for safety. There are other territorial monsters in the area that might attack you, as it's close to a red zone where a huge whale resides.
