One great location for silver is north of the Lifepod, west of Anita's Blackbox. The area has a large coral dome with glowing plants around the roots. When you enter and reach the bottom of the cave, you'll notice plenty of regular ore you can farm with your hands.

One location for Silver Outcrops is the Stalagmite Area, 200 meters southeast of the Lifepod. You'll spot a group of stalagmites rising from the ground, all the way up to the surface. On the ground near the stalagmites and nearby caves, you'll find Outcrops you can mine with the Sonar Resonator.
