  • Quick Answer: Hideo Kojima provided an update on OD-Knock and Physint during Xbox's TGS 2026 presentation, including the reveal of a lead actor.

Although the news about Kojima Productions landing a new partnership deal with Xbox was only revealed a week ago, it appears the ties between the two companies are stronger than ever, as Hideo Kojima made a surprise appearance at Xbox's TGS 2026 presentation.

The developer appeared in a small video to provide an update on the two major titles his studio is working on: OD-Knock and Physint.

For starters, Kojima explained that OD-Knock resumed performance capture and ADR earlier this year. The process had to be paused due to the SAG-AFTRA video game Strikes against AI slop that started in 2024 and ended in 2025.

Production is now on schedule, with Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer in the lead roles as revealed by previous teasers. "Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and the team have delivered intense and outstanding performances, which I can't wait for you all to see," Kojima expressed.

The developer also had a major update for Physint, which, as we said, is now being published by Xbox. Bill Skarsgård was announced as the lead star in the upcoming title, playing the character players will control.

The actor was cast earlier this year, and he will join Charlee Frase, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe.

"The costume fittings, scans, and camera tests we conducted with Bill and Charlee earlier this year gave me tremendous confidence in the direction of the project. My vision of the final form became much more solidified," Kojima explained.

As you can see, Physint is very early in pre-production, as the studio is still planning to announce more cast members and performance capture hasn't started. The game is described as the "culmination of more than 40 years" of Kojima's career and "will redefine action-espionage, unbound by any existing genres in digital entertainment."

Neither OD-Knock nor Physint have a set release date at the time of writing, meaning we will have to wait for more details and updates in the future.
