After teasing it on social media with a short video, the Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K collaboration has been officially announced.
The crossover will add several new items for Helldivers to use based on the mega-popular franchise. For starters, two new weapons will be introduced: the Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle (Primary) and the Bolt Pistol (Sidearm).
The Meltagun will also be added but as a Stratagem, which fires a superbeam of thermal energy that melts away enemies. The Meltamine will be a new throwable dangerous for both friends and foes, as this proximity mine will burn anything in its range when activated.
In terms of armor, here are the two additions included in this collab:
- TG-8 Sharpshooter:
- Medium armor
- True Grit (Armor passive): +20 weapon handling, +30% reload speed for support weapons
- TG-122 Demo-Trooper
- Heavy Armor
- True Grit (Armor passive): +20 weapon handling, +30% reload speed for support weapons
To round out the content, the crossover also adds the following cosmetics:
- Cape/Player Card: Camo Cloak
- Cape/Player Card: City Fighter's Resolve
- Title: Still Standing
- Pattern: Castellan’s Green
All this content will be available through the Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40K legendary warbond, which will go live on Wednesday, August 12, and can be purchased with 1500 Super Credits (roughly $15). As always, Super Credits can also be unlocked simply through playing, without having to spend a cent.
