With only a few weeks left before launch, Team17 and Expression Games are kicking off a brand-new open crossplay beta weekend for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, the sequel to the 2019 game.
The beta will be open to all PC and console (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S) players and will have crossplay enabled, as they want this to be a server slam that brings all players together.
The test is set to begin on Friday, July 24 at 6:00 AM PT, and these are the start times for the different time zones:
- 9:00 AM EDT
- 2:00 PM BST
- 3:00 PM CEST
- 11:00 PM AEST
Players can enjoy the game for three straight days, with the beta ending on Monday, July 27. Although an exact end time wasn't disclosed, we believe it will end at the same times listed above.
In terms of content, the beta will give players access to a map we haven't seen previously: Đắk Tô Airfield. This is another one of the launch maps and takes place in an airfield in Vietnam's Central Highlands near the borders of Laos and Cambodia. Apart from the base, the map allows players to battle through nearby villages, hamlets, and jungle.
Once the playtest is live, a new button will appear on the game's Steam page to request access, and that will allow players to download the test version. Console users just have to look up "Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Playtest" on their respective store and download the application that pops up to enter.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is scheduled to go live on Thursday, August 13, for all platforms (PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S).
