- Quick Answer: A popular leaker shared the first details about GTA 6's pre-orders, including a possible early access period.
Now that another delay seems unlikely and with all signs suggesting that the third trailer is on the way, more details about GTA 6's pre-orders have apparently leaked.
User DetectiveSeeds on X, who previously leaked that GTA 6 will have a marketing deal with PlayStation, has shared a few details on the game's editions. For starters, there will be six ways to purchase the game:
- 3 physical/digital editions (most likely standard, deluxe, premium, or something equivalent).
- 1 edition with rare items (possibly the collector's edition)
- 2 console bundles (one for the PS5 and another one with the PS5 Pro)
What's more interesting is that the user claimed that "I was told there will be an early access period for some versions." In other words, those who purchase selected editions will be able to play before November 19, provided the leak is legitimate.

When asked whether the pre-orders will go live before trailer 3 releases, the user responded with a simple "Yes." Another user asked about the price, but DetectiveSeed only confirmed that it will remain in the $60-$80 range, negating the possibilities of a $100 starting price point.
This same user previously stated that pre-orders will go live at some point in the week of May 18. Given the recent marketing email sent by Best Buy, claiming that pre-orders will start on that same day, and with confirmation from Insider-Gaming that the email is legitimate, everything is lining up.
Another indication that pre-orders are set to go live soon is that the next earnings call from Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games' parent company, is scheduled for May 21. Many will definitely be watching out for that date, as any sort of big announcement before presenting their financial records seems like a logical move for the company.
