Based on the hype alone, we know this game is going to sell millions of copies, if not billions, and could be the first truly next-gen console title. There’s a rumor that this game is going to be 30 FPS, but recent leaks claim that’s not entirely true.
According to an insider named Detective Seeds, this game will be able to run at 60 FPS, but only on a PS5 Pro. Seeds claims that Sony is working hand-in-hand with Rockstar Games to make sure it runs really well on their console. It's worth noting that the most recent trailer was filmed on a base PS5, so take it with a pinch of salt.
Detective Seeds claims that this could always change, and Rockstar Games could find a way to make GTA 6 run at 60 FPS on standard PS5 consoles. For the time being, the leaker says that 60 FPS is only available for the PS5 Pro due to Sony’s assistance. There will supposedly be some graphics modes on this system, though fans should keep an open mind since Sony and Rockstar haven’t confirmed this.
Because we won’t be getting a lot of information on this game anytime soon, all fans can do is ponder these leaks and wonder if they’re true. Sony does love making partnerships for the smallest exclusive bonuses, so this does seem somewhat realistic. However, Rockstar Games hasn’t done a lot of Sony exclusive deals lately, so we’ll have to wait and see.
GTA 6 has a ton of rumors and speculation surrounding it due to the series’ reputation. There are teasers that the hunting mechanics from Red Dead Redemption 2 will be used here. Fans also want this series to get weirder, with mythical creatures like Bigfoot appearing in previous games.
